Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rafal Okonski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black has chosen The Metal as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rafal Okonski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Black!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okonski takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Okonski throws a sloppy head kick and Black moves out of range easily.

Black gets tackled into the cage by Okonski. Okonski maintains the clinch.
Okonski is trying to pull guard but Black turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Black escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Black goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Black wants to clinch up but Okonski keeps it at a distance.
Black tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Okonski paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Black rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Okonski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Okonski throws a head kick but Black moves out of range.

Okonski rushes Black and presses him up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Black throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Black pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Okonski back to the cage. Black follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Black closes this distance looking for a takedown but Okonski circles away.
Black works over Okonski's head and body with a nice combination.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Black shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Okonski eats them both and turns towards Black to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Oh Okonski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Black rushes Okonski and presses him up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Black dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Black throws a shot to the body.
Okonski seems to have got his legs back now.
Okonski looks for a takedown but Black sprawls well.
Okonski fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Okonski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Black tries to avoid it but Okonski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Black to the ground. Black escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafal Okonski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Black throws a nice inside leg kick.
Black connects with a high kick.
Black moves in looking to clinch but Okonski pushes him off.

Black fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Okonski, pushing him back against the cage.

Black manages to break the clinch.
Black has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Okonski circles away from the clinch attempt.
Okonski takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Black with a nice cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Black wants to clinch up but Okonski keeps it at a distance.
Okonski takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Black is looking to clinch but Okonski is avoiding it.

Black lands a big head kick that sends Okonski tumbling to the mat! Black takes a step backwards and waves Okonski back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Rafal Okonski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Black closes the distance and pushes Okonski back into the cage.

Black pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Black lands a leg kick that knocks Okonski off balance momentarily.
Okonski seems to have got his legs back now.
Black lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Okonski circles away quickly and effectively.

John Black seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Okonski takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Black getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Black slaps away a takedown attempt from Okonski, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Okonski crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Black - the referee stops the clock and Okonski gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Black. Okonski manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Okonski closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Black lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Black lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Black showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK we're going to have a standup here. John Black hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Black throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Okonski fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Black misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Okonski keeps the fight on the outside.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Black comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Black has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
