0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dingo Monster! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monster throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Twats tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Monster is in Twats's guard. Twats looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Monster throwing strikes but missing. Monster distracts Twats with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Monster tries to stand but Twats is controlling from the bottom. Monster is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Twats keeping full guard, as Monster tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Monster wants to get up but he can't break Twats's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Monster tries to free his leg and advance position but Twats is retaining full guard. Twats is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Monster defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monster missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Monster stands up from guard. Let's bang! Good leg kick by Monster there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Monster closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Twats's guard. Monster wants to stand but Twats is controlling his posture from full guard. Monster won't allow Twats to sweep him here. Twats will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Monster is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Twats had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Monster defends it easily. Monster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Twats. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Monster with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Monster is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Monster landing with the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Monster with a flurry of punches that miss. Monster not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Monster must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Monster's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dingo Monster was stalling too much, according to the referee. Monster closes the distance and pushes Twats back into the cage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Monster breaks from the clinch.
Twats displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Monster. Monster throws a series of strikes that have Twats backpedaling.

Monster looks to clinch and Twats counters with a one-two to the body. Monster moves into the clinch successfully.

Monster crunches a lovely knee into Twats's ribcage. Monster's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Monster with a knee to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Twats is looking to break free of the clinch but Monster has double underhooks. Monster landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Monster has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Twats clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Monster throwing wild punches that miss their target. Monster has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Twats trying to control the position but Monster manages to sink in the hooks. Monster controlling the position well here. Twats rolled but Monster kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Twats trying to get back to his feet but Monster is in full control for now. Monster lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Monster.
I really don't envy Twats right now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Twats is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Monster content just to control the position here. Monster is landing with some decent strikes but Twats is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Monster lands with some strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Monster lands a big elbow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Monster raining down shots from the mount! Monster punishing his opponent with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dingo Monster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Gary Twats's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Monster shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Twats manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Monster slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Monster stands and steps away. Twats gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Monster rushes Twats and presses him up against the cage. Monster stalling in the clinch.
Monster creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Twats's defenses. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Monster unloads a knee to the mid-section. Twats lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. This has been an exciting period of action! Monster gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Twats jumps guard and drags Monster to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Monster postures up in Twats's guard and throws a big left but Twats blocks it. Monster lands a couple of decent looking shots. Monster sitting in guard here, content to control. Monster wants to stand but Twats has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Twats has Monster pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Monster manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Monster lands an elbow inside that Twats shrugs off. Dingo Monster seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Monster gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Twats regains guard.

Twats can't fight it off and eventually Monster manages to take the fight to the floor. Twats looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Monster wanted to stand there but Twats had control of the position. Twats striking off his back but it's not causing Monster any problems.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Monster scoring with some ground and pound. Monster is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Twats wants to sweep here but Monster controlling him for the moment. Monster stands up over Twats, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Dingo Monster is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Monster wants to stand but Twats is controlling his posture from full guard. Monster loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Monster prevents Twats from getting back to his feet. Gary Twats has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Monster is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that's the end of the fight! Dingo Monster comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Monster has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
