Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Barton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuudai Ryuu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barton's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 126 que. Ryuu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. High on Fire - Bastard Samurai kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Yuudai Ryuu will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barton uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ryuu.

Barton throws a solid leg kick but Ryuu takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Barton.

Barton does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Barton doesn't manage to clinch there - Ryuu circles away.
Ryuu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ryuu's waist but Ryuu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barton off to one side.

It looks like Jack Barton has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ryuu content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Ryuu pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Barton back to the cage. Ryuu follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Barton on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barton buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barton is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ryuu.

Whack! Ryuu lands a heavy head kick that drops Barton. The ref tackles Ryuu to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Barton was done.
