Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Seo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Twitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ricky Seo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ricky Seo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Seo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Twitchell! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Twitchell tries to clinch there but Seo circles away.
Seo closes the distance and pushes Twitchell back into the cage. Seo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Twitchell pulls him back up using the underhooks. Seo fails to pull the fight into his guard.
A frustrated look appears on Seo's face as he tries to break the clinch. Twitchell being controlled against the cage. Seo is trying to force a seperation but Twitchell has the dominant position. Seo with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Twitchell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Twitchell tries to close the distance and clinch but Seo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Some wild striking there from Seo.
Twitchell moves into the clinch successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seo lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Seo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Twitchell lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Seo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Twitchell just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricky Seo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Seo stalling in the clinch but Twitchell improves position. Twitchell breaks the clinch.
Seo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Twitchell back to the cage. Seo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Twitchell with a poor takedown and Seo counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Twitchell moves into full guard.
Twitchell is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Seo trying to control but Twitchell is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Twitchell controls Seo momentarily but Seo frees himself. Seo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Twitchell on the ground. Seo trying to control the position from guard on top but Twitchell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Twitchell pulls Seo in close to his closed guard and prevents Seo from doing any damage or advancing position. Twitchell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Seo's guard. Twitchell looks gassed! Seo is working an open guard so Twitchell takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Twitchell tries to close the distance and clinch but Seo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Seo stuffs the takedown. Seo gets a clinch. Twitchell is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Seo can't fight it off and eventually Twitchell manages to take the fight to the floor. Seo looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Twitchell is looking to stand up but Seo won't let him. Seo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Seo throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seo is adopting a defensive guard. Seo is striking but Twitchell is not phased and passes to half guard. Twitchell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Seo keeps working. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Twitchell stands up out of the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ricky Seo will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Twitchell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Seo as he avoids it easily. Seo fails with the takedown. Twitchell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Twitchell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Seo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. An elbow from Seo crashes against the mat.
Twitchell manages to work his way to half guard, despite Seo's best efforts. Twitchell trying to control but Seo postures up.
Seo tries to pass to full mount but Twitchell defends it. Twitchell is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Twitchell is looking to improve his position.
Seo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Twitchell is not content to let Seo control the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Ricky Seo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Seo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Twitchell's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Twitchell is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Seo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Twitchell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Twitchell kicks Seo off and gets to his feet. Twitchell is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Twitchell with a poor takedown so Seo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ricky Seo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Twitchell.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seo postures up.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Don Twitchell was stalling too much, according to the referee. Seo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Seo slips a nice elbow through Twitchell's hands, connecting with Twitchell's forehead. Twitchell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Seo is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Twitchell is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Seo pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seo wants to stand up but Twitchell has a hold of him and won't allow it. Twitchell is looking to control Seo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Twitchell avoid being mounted? Twitchell is trying to stand up here but Seo is controlling him well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Twitchell is trying to maintain the position but Seo is very close to passing his half guard. Twitchell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricky Seo dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Seo is looking to clinch. Seo fails with an attempt to clinch.
A punch combination from Seo misses. Twitchell shoots for a takedown but Seo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Twitchell leaves Seo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Seo avoids the head kick by Twitchell.
Seo is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Twitchell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Twitchell shoots in looking for a takedown. Seo tries to sprawl out of it but Twitchell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Seo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Seo shoots for a double leg takedown but Twitchell sprawls well. He's pushed Seo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Seo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Twitchell works his way to full guard. Good work. Seo wants to stand but Twitchell is controlling his posture from full guard. Twitchell seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Twitchell keeping moving, preventing Seo from controlling successfully. Twitchell lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Seo! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Twitchell controlling from the full mount. Twitchell lands with some strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seo is looking to get to half guard. Twitchell controlling the position easily from mount. Twitchell gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Twitchell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Twitchell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Seo sprawls well. Seo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Twitchell gets slowly back to his feet. Ricky Seo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Twitchell. Seo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seo misses with a body kick. Twitchell closes the distance and pushes Seo back into the cage. Twitchell jumps guard and drags Seo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Twitchell working a defensive guard here.
Seo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Twitchell is proving hard to escape from. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ricky Seo. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Seo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
