Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wrestling Spar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kev Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wrestling Spar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kev Davies! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davies is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Spar with a poor takedown and Davies counters with a nice double leg into guard. Spar doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Davies throwing strikes but missing. Spar is trying to control the position but Davies postures up. Spar wriggles free and stands up. Davies tries to clinch up and Spar moves into the clinch. Spar is pressed up against the cage. Davies has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Spar down to the mat. Spar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Spar takes the fight into the clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spar is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Davies can't fight it off and eventually Spar manages to take the fight to the floor. Davies looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davies looking to hit a scissor sweep but Spar is one step ahead there. Spar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davies swivels though and keeps the full guard. Davies has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Spar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Davies tries to land a sweep but no joy. Spar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Davies being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davies is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Spar engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wrestling Spar. Spar closes the distance and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Spar. Spar steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Davies. Spar has closed the distance and engaged Davies in a clinch.
Spar jumps into guard, dragging Davies to the mat.
Davies tries to free his leg and advance position but Spar is retaining full guard. Davies postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Spar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davies is one step ahead there. Spar is working hard here to advance position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spar has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Davies is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Spar. Spar wants to get back to his feet. Spar wants to control but Davies postures up. Spar is looking for a sweep. Davies wants to control but Spar is keeping him busy. Davies wants to control for a moment but Spar uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spar is trying to stand up here but Davies is controlling him well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Wrestling Spar will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Spar shoots in looking for a takedown but Davies manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Davies fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Spar has Davies up against the cage in a clinch.
Spar is defending well against a takedown attempt. Davies has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Spar after a bit of a struggle. Wrestling Spar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kev Davies. Spar turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Davies tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Spar presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Spar looking to control but Davies is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Davies working to try and regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davies slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Davies strikes from the bottom but Spar passes into mount!
Davies can't escape the position.
Spar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Spar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Davies on the ground. Davies wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Spar tries to keep control of the position but Davies is staying busy. Spar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Davies is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Davies tries to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. What can Davies do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Spar gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spar scores with punches and elbows. Spar trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Good control from Spar. Davies turns into Spar and is now in his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spar pulls Davies in close to prevent any damage. Spar wants to get back to his feet but Davies is in a dominant position and won't allow it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davies accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Spar keeping full guard, as Davies tries to pass. Spar controlling the position. Spar wants to sweep but no luck. Spar looking for a guillotine here but Davies defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Davies postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Spar is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Davies, into his guard. Davies has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Spar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Davies looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Davies is breathing heavily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Davies throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wrestling Spar dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Spar pushes Davies up against the cage in a clinch. Davies tries for a takedown. No joy.

Now he's in top in Davies's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Davies is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davies trying to control the position from guard on top but Spar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Davies works a leg free and moves into half guard. Davies trying to mount his opponent but Spar defends it. Spar wants to get back to full guard. Spar wants to get back to his feet. Davies seems to be working for a kimura but Spar defends the submission attempt. Spar looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spar is looking to control Davies's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Spar avoid being mounted? Davies seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Spar is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
