The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beleren takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Beleren throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beddoe's waist but Beddoe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Beleren off to one side.
Beddoe misses with a right hand
and Beleren counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Beleren is stalling in the full guard.
Beleren postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Beleren has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Beddoe holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Beleren is looking to clinch.
Beleren throws a wild hook but Beddoe just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Beleren gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Beddoe raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
