Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Tunjic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tunjic comes into the arena with More Then A Feeling blaring out of the sound system. Ivan Tunjic has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ivan Tunjic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Boris The Beast!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tunjic doesn't manage to clinch there - The Beast circles away.
Ivan Tunjic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tunjic takes a jab right on the kisser.
The Beast connects with a nice looking jab.
The Beast works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The Beast moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
The Beast lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
The Beast is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

The Beast tries to sprawl but Tunjic drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The Beast avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Tunjic.
The Beast is working to avoid the ground and pound but Tunjic connects with a decent elbow.

Tunjic postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Tunjic really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tunjic sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but The Beast is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The Beast is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tunjic has just dragged him back down to the mat.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


The Beast lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

The fight stays on the outside here - Tunjic looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The Beast stalks Tunjic and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tunjic's face. Tunjic staggers backwards, shaken.
Tunjic shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. The Beast defends it nicely.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Tunjic doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The Beast lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by The Beast.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tunjic tries to clinch but The Beast moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Tunjic or perhaps it was just good defense by The Beast which made him look bad.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The Beast moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Boris The Beast seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Tunjic shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says The Beast as he avoids it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The Beast fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Tunjic wants to take the fight to the mat but The Beast manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Tunjic is trying to drag The Beast to the mat but The Beast just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
The Beast tries to break the clinch but Tunjic is controlling the position.
Tunjic drops to a knee looking for a takedown but The Beast gets the underhooks and prevents it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tunjic can't get the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boris The Beast showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


The Beast looks to land a combination. Tunjic sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The Beast lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The Beast stuffs the takedown attempt from Tunjic. Tunjic gets slowly back to his feet.
Tunjic shoots in for a double leg but The Beast sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The Beast looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Come on Tunjic - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Tunjic tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Tunjic has The Beast pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. The Beast manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Tunjic ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tunjic no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Tunjic is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The Beast tries to stand but Tunjic is controlling from the bottom.
Tunjic might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Tunjic has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The Beast connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Tunjic fails with a takedown attempt.

Tunjic takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tunjic is trying to pull guard but The Beast turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boris The Beast comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think The Beast has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
