Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Magnussen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danush Towraghondi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnussen comes to the cage accompanied by Bloody Beetroots - Butter. Towraghondi has chosen Coal Chamber - Amir of the Desert as his entrance music. Danush Towraghondi is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gunnar Magnussen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Danush Towraghondi!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Towraghondi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Magnussen swivels and escapes.
Magnussen scores with a jab to the body.
Magnussen plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Nice sprawl there from Towraghondi as Magnussen shoots in.
Magnussen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Towraghondi on the side of the head.
Magnussen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Towraghondi takes one to the chin there.
Magnussen's jab looks to have found its range, popping Towraghondi under the eye.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Towraghondi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Magnussen throws a shot to the body.
Magnussen lands a head kick. Towraghondi smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Towraghondi on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A good leg kick by Magnussen.
Towraghondi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Magnussen avoids it really well and circles away.
Gunnar Magnussen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danush Towraghondi.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Magnussen lands with an uppercut that bounces Towraghondi off the cage and back into range.
Magnussen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Towraghondi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gunnar Magnussen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Towraghondi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Towraghondi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Towraghondi looking to sit in guard and control but Magnussen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Magnussen gets to his feet. Towraghondi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Towraghondi walks into a stiff left hand from Magnussen.
A solid leg kick lands there for Magnussen.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A solid body kick from Magnussen.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Towraghondi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Magnussen circles away.
Towraghondi shoots in for a takedown but Magnussen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Towraghondi looks gassed!
Magnussen with a hook.
Magnussen scores with a jab. Towraghondi acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Magnussen lands with a good body shot.
Towraghondi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Magnussen is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Towraghondi takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like Danush Towraghondi has been cut.
Towraghondi closes the distance and clinches up with Magnussen, looking for a takedown. Towraghondi pushes Magnussen against the cage but Magnussen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Magnussen throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Towraghondi stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Magnussen follows into mount!
Towraghondi is rocked!
Magnussen gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Towraghondi is still on wobbly legs! Can Magnussen finish him?
Towraghondi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Magnussen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Magnussen lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Towraghondi up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Magnussen from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Towraghondi's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gunnar Magnussen!
