PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ogg Nogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augustus Levy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nogg might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pantera : 5 Minutes Alone. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogg misses with a wild combination.
Nogg fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nogg will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Levy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Noggs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Nogg gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Levy is trying to break the clinch but Nogg has him pressed against the cage.

Levy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Levy looks to throw the jab but Nogg is out of range.
Levy blocks the body kick.
Nogg checks a low kick from Levy.
Levy just misses with a punch to the body.

Nogg fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Levy, pushing him back against the cage.
Levy is trying to pull guard but Nogg has him pressed against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Levy wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nogg has him pressed against the cage.

Nogg takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Levy is rocked!
Nogg walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Levy checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Levy takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Nogg takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Levy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Nogg throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Levy sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Nogg jumps into guard, dragging Levy to the mat.
Levy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nogg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nogg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Levy throws out a loose jab but Nogg uses good head movement to avoid it.

Nogg throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Levy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
