The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shackleford will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stumpp with a poor takedown
and Shackleford counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Shackleford connects with a body shot that sends Stumpp's belly button to the back.
Stumpp misses with a takedown
and Shackleford counters with a solid body kick.
Shackleford lands a body shot.
Stumpp misses with a takedown attempt
and Shackleford counters with a left and a right that stings Stumpp.
Rusty Shackleford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Stumpp.
Stumpp doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Shackleford counters with a good, hard body kick but Stumpp shrugs it off.

Shackleford scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Shackleford moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Stumpp! Shackleford continues to tee off on Stumpp, landing with a left and a right! Shackleford connects with a right hand that leaves Stumpp sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Shackleford!
