Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sawyer is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tom Sawyer by Rush. Frank Castle could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Thomas Sawyer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Castle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thomas Sawyer! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castle waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Sawyer. Sawyer fails with an attempt to clinch.
Castle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sawyer takes one to the side of the head.
Castle throws a lazy right hand but Sawyer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Castle misses with a two punch combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sawyer. Sawyer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Castle's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Sawyer postures up and lands a big shot to Castle's brow. Castle throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Sawyer scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sawyer lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Sawyer with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Sawyer is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Castle preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sawyer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Castle's head. Castle keeping full guard, as Sawyer tries to pass. Sawyer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sawyer passes easily into side control. Nice work. Castle tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sawyer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Castle sneaks back into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sawyer is nestled in close to Castle, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sawyer lands a nice short elbow. Sawyer landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Castle looking for submissions off his back. Ground and pound from Sawyer. Sawyer seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Sawyer moves nicely into side control. Castle manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Castle is looking for a kimura but Sawyer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Castle to get the leverage. Castle is breathing heavily. Sawyer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sawyer landing strikes from the bottom. Sawyer is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Castle pulls his head out easily. Sawyer actively working from the bottom here. Castle is working for a kimura but Sawyer is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are battling for position here. Sawyer manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sawyer lands an upkick as Castle stands over him. Castle forces his way into half guard. Castle wants to get back to his feet.

Sawyer tries to get to full guard but Castle has control of the leg. Sawyer lands with a few short shots to the body. Castle blocks the strikes from Sawyer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Castle tries to free his leg and advance position but Sawyer is retaining full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Sawyer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Castle sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sawyer moves in looking to clinch but Castle pushes him off. Castle connects with a single shot there. Sawyer takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Sawyer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sawyer landing some decent shots from guard. Sawyer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Castle swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sawyer postures up and lands a big shot to Castle's brow. Castle looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sawyer with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sawyer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Castle wants to improve his position but Sawyer is controlling well.
Sawyer looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Castle is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sawyer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sawyer's back! Sawyer breaks Castle's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Castle wants to stand up but Sawyer is controlling him. Sawyer landing some decent shots from guard. Castle wants to stand but Sawyer is controlling the position. Sawyer is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Castle looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Sawyer scoring with some ground and pound. Sawyer stands and throws Castle's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sawyer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sawyer lands a nice forearm strike. Sawyer tries for a kimura but Castle is defending well. Castle sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Castle manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Sawyer works over Castle with some ground and pound from guard. Thomas Sawyer has got the better of the ground game so far. Sawyer lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Castle has momentary wrist control but Sawyer slips an elbow through the middle. Sawyer cracks Castle with a solid left hand.
Castle is rocked! Sawyer pushes down on Castle's leg and manages to get into half guard. Sawyer working over Castle with some ground and pound. Castle looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Oh Castle is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Sawyer lands a big elbow - Castle is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Sawyer!
