Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, The Sixth Man! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sean Sabacajan! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sixth Man drives through and clinches with Sabacajan against the ropes.
Sabacajan works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Sabacajan passes Sixth Man's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sabacajan is trying to control. Sixth Man wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Sabacajan wants to work for an arm triangle but Sixth Man is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Sixth Man knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sabacajan on the ground. Sixth Man is trying to get back to full guard. Sabacajan is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sabacajan performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Sabacajan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sixth Man does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Sixth Man pushes Sabacajan up against the ropes in a clinch. Sabacajan tightens his grip and picks Sixth Man up, before dumping him to the ground. Sixth Man manages to land in guard. Sabacajan drops back looking for a leg! Sixth Man is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sixth Man manages to kick Sabacajan off! Sabacajan jumps back into Sixth Man's guard. Sabacajan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sixth Man is trying to hold Sabacajan in close to prevent damage but Sabacajan has managed to pass into half guard.
Sabacajan wants to work for an arm triangle but Sixth Man is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sabacajan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sixth Man defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sabacajan in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sixth Man tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Sabacajan!
