Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rick Narcoleptic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cristian Gonzales! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Narcoleptic fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Narcoleptic has a takedown stuffed. The fight stays on the outside here - Narcoleptic looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Gonzales goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Gonzales throws a sloppy head kick and Narcoleptic moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gonzales stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Narcoleptic. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gonzales cracks Narcoleptic with a good jab. Nice sprawl there from Narcoleptic as Gonzales shoots in. Narcoleptic tries to clinch up but Gonzales circles away and keeps his distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzales throws a head kick that misses. Gonzales has a takedown stuffed. Narcoleptic doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gonzales counters with a nice uppercut. Gonzales tries to clinch and Narcoleptic decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gonzales's guard. Narcoleptic decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Gonzales feints and as Narcoleptic raises his hands in defense, Gonzales changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Gonzales must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gonzales is looking to stand up but Narcoleptic won't let him. Narcoleptic has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Gonzales doesn't defend quickly enough and Narcoleptic has managed to lock this one up! Can Gonzales escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Narcoleptic on a fantastic submission victory.
