Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Clement (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Payne might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to MOP - Ante Up. Clement has chosen Infinite Mass - Bullet as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clement darts in and clinches Payne up against the cage.
Payne misses with some punches.
Clement pulls guard successfully.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Payne trying to control the position from guard on top but Clement is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Payne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clement on the ground.
Clement is trying to control the position but Payne postures up.
Payne drops back looking for a leg! Clement is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Clement manages to kick Payne off! Payne jumps back into Clement's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clement wriggles free and stands up.
Payne darts in and clinches Clement up against the cage.
Clement ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Clement no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Clement has a closed guard, preventing Payne from standing up.

Payne postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Payne will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Johnny Clement.

Payne uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Clement has time to react.

Clement jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Payne walks away with a smile on his face. Clement gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Payne feints a jab promting Clement to slip. Payne then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Clement slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Payne shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Clement sprawls well. Clement wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Payne gets slowly back to his feet.
No luck for Clement with that takedown attempt.
Clement goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Clement misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Payne shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Payne connects with a crisp jab.
Payne really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Clement looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tommy Payne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Clement.
Clement tries to move into range but Payne moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Clement slips a jab and a cross from Payne.

Clement shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Payne as he jumps to the side.
Payne is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
