Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brad Pepper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brad Pepper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrew Armstrong! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pepper closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Armstrong quickly recovers to half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Pepper throwing shots but Armstrong is blocking nicely. Pepper trying to control the action but Armstrong is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Armstrong can do anything to dispel that myth. Pepper throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Armstrong to regain full guard. Armstrong can't keep his opponent in guard - Pepper advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Pepper frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pepper wants to control the pace but Armstrong is squirming around nicely. Pepper moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Armstrong has worked his arm free - good work by Armstrong!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pepper trying to control the action but Armstrong is working from the bottom. Pepper is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Armstrong has escaped the position, nice work there. Armstrong wants to get back to his feet but Pepper drags him back down. Pepper wants to control but Armstrong is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armstrong avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Pepper. Pepper sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Armstrong is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Pepper postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Pepper goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Armstrong has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pepper but great work by Armstrong. An elbow from Armstrong crashes against the mat.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Pepper sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Pepper works his way to full guard. Good work. Pepper looking for subs off his back but Armstrong has passed one foot through into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pepper trying to hold on to Armstrong's head to control him but Armstrong postures up.
Pepper has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pepper is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Armstrong is pressing down on Pepper's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pepper is holding on for now. Armstrong escapes and gets back to his feet. Some wild striking there from Armstrong.
Pepper darts in and clinches Armstrong up against the cage. Armstrong has hold of one of Pepper's legs. Pepper is fighting the takedown attempt but Armstrong gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Armstrong wanted to stand there but Pepper had control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pepper controls Armstrong momentarily but Armstrong frees himself. Armstrong's corner is telling him to maintain position. Armstrong won't allow Pepper to sweep him here. Pepper is adopting a defensive guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Armstrong slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Andrew Armstrong hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Pepper fails with a takedown attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Pepper. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brad Pepper dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pepper with a lazy takedown attempt and Armstrong counters with a straight right hand. Armstrong circles away from the clinch attempt and Armstrong makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Armstrong lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Brad Pepper has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Armstrong throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Armstrong clinches up against the cage. Pepper jumps guard but Armstrong stands there with Pepper around his waist. Pepper gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Armstrong lands a takedown into guard.
Armstrong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pepper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Armstrong seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Armstrong has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pepper is proving hard to escape from. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pepper is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Armstrong is aware though and is defending well. Armstrong looking to sit in guard and control but Pepper gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Pepper won't allow Armstrong to get back to his feet. Pepper wants to control from the top but Armstrong keeps moving. Pepper prevents Armstrong from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pepper throws an elbow that misses. Armstrong uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pepper's guard. Nice move by Armstrong! Armstrong decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Armstrong throws a nice looking combination but Pepper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Andrew Armstrong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pepper fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brad Pepper. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pepper closes the distance and pushes Armstrong back into the cage. Pepper tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Armstrong smiles and moves away.
Armstrong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pepper moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pepper misses with a takedown attempt and Armstrong counters with a left to the body. Armstrong goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Brad Pepper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Armstrong drops Pepper with a beautiful combination! Pepper stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Armstrong is looking for the KO! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Armstrong drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Pepper right on the button. Pepper goes down! Armstrong follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Armstrong gets the win via TKO!
