Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fernandes el Maya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Hudson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). el Maya's entrance music is Mr. president-Coco jambo. A fine choice. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hudson keeps the fight on the outside.
el Maya looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Hudson swats away the attempt to clinch by el Maya.
Hudson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in el Maya's guard.
Hudson tries to stand but el Maya is controlling from the bottom.
Hudson connects with a couple of short punches.
Hudson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hudson wants to stand but el Maya has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Hudson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. el Maya avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
el Maya lands a left hand that snaps the head of Hudson backwards.

Hudson is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Fernandes el Maya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hudson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Hudson drops back looking for a leg! el Maya is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and el Maya manages to kick Hudson off! Hudson jumps back into el Maya's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
el Maya is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Gary Hudson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hudson.

el Maya stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hudson.

Hudson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hudson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. el Maya looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hudson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hudson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
