Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Villi Kotobalavu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kotobalavu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Another Body Murdered" by Faith No more & Boo-Yaa Tribe kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Sampson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Villi Kotobalavu! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sampson shoots in and drives through. Kotobalavu sprawls well. Kotobalavu misses with a few strikes there.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Sampson is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Sampson throws an elbow but it misses.
Sampson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kotobalavu up against the ropes. Kotobalavu lands a body punch in the clinch. Sampson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kotobalavu has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows. Kotobalavu tries to land a knee to the head but Sampson blocks with his arms.

Sampson wants to break free but Kotobalavu has control.
Sampson breaks from the clinch.
Sampson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kotobalavu throws out a loose jab but Sampson uses good head movement to avoid it. No joy there for Kotobalavu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kotobalavu swats away the attempt to clinch by Sampson. Kotobalavu rushes Sampson and presses him up against the ropes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kotobalavu breaks the clinch.

Sampson is rocked! Sampson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kotobalavu.
Oh Sampson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sampson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sampson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kotobalavu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sampson thinking. Sampson is breathing heavily. Kotobalavu walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Sampson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Kotobalavu swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Sampson's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Villi Kotobalavu!
