The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Tomson misses.
Tomson has closed the distance and engaged Young in a clinch.

Young is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tomson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tomson has escaped and now he's on top!

Let's hope that Tomson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Tomson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Young is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tomson defends well.

Tomson content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Young has locked up a guillotine! Young's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Tomson is holding on here and Young must be using up a lot of energy. Tomson has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Young gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
