Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alex Burkhart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Cerveny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cerveny has chosen Johnny B Good as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Burkhart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Cerveny! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cerveny looks to score with a jab to the body but Burkhart is just out of range. Burkhart uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cerveny.
Burkhart closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Burkhart looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Burkhart is looking for a kimura but Cerveny is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Burkhart to get the leverage. Burkhart is looking to take a break and control but Cerveny is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Burkhart is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Cerveny is trying to get back to full guard.

Burkhart with a flurry of punches that miss. Cerveny working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Burkhart. Burkhart throws a big right hand that misses. Burkhart trying to control the position from guard on top but Cerveny is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Burkhart missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cerveny is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Burkhart throwing strikes from guard but Cerveny blocks nicely. Burkhart drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cerveny looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cerveny looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cerveny! You can see the frustration on Burkhart's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Cerveny in side control, just content to control the action for now. Burkhart has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. A control attempt from Burkhart but he's now mounted!

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Burkhart will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Cerveny slaps away a takedown attempt from Burkhart, before circling back to the center of the mat. Cerveny throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Cerveny throws a right hand that Burkhart ducks under and follows up with a left that Burkhart also avoids with ease. A head kick misses from Cerveny. Cerveny connects with a solid leg kick. Cerveny misses with a straight right. Burkhart will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Burkhart has managed to clinch.
Burkhart is working for takedown but Cerveny is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Burkhart. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cerveny's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Johnny Cerveny is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Burkhart moves into the clinch. Burkhart gets a trip takedown into half guard. Burkhart is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Cerveny to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Burkhart stops Cerveny from standing up. Burkhart drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cerveny dives on top into guard. Cerveny gets to his feet - Burkhart follows without any prompting. Johnny Cerveny is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cerveny fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Burkhart looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! No luck with that takedown attempt from Burkhart. Cerveny throws a hook to the side of Burkhart's head but Burkhart sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A punch combination from Cerveny misses. Cerveny misses with a head kick.
Cerveny walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Burkhart checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Burkhart shoots in looking for a takedown. Cerveny tries to sprawl out of it but Burkhart keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cerveny manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Burkhart keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cerveny doesn't manage to clinch there - Burkhart circles away.
Cerveny thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Burkhart if he has to take too many more of those.
The fighters circling - Burkhart throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Burkhart takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Cerveny attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Johnny Cerveny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burkhart shoots in and drives through. Cerveny sprawls well. Burkhart takes a body punch but keeps moving. A punch combination from Cerveny misses. Burkhart slips a jab and a cross from Cerveny.

Burkhart is looking for a kimura but Cerveny is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Burkhart to get the leverage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cerveny wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Cerveny showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Burkhart takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Cerveny is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Burkhart rather than just go for the knockout. Cerveny throws a leg kick that is checked and Burkhart counters with a takedown into side control. Burkhart goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cerveny rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Burkhart's guard! Nice work there by Cerveny! Burkhart is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cerveny is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Cerveny got a little sloppy there for a moment and Burkhart has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cerveny has managed to get both his arms back between Burkhart's legs - danger averted.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Burkhart has a closed guard, preventing Cerveny from standing up. Cerveny postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Burkhart can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cerveny controls the pace. Cerveny must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Burkhart is working an open guard so Cerveny takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Cerveny will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Burkhart is defended easily by Cerveny. A solid body kick from Cerveny. Cerveny throws a quick inside leg kick. Burkhart fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Burkhart. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cerveny swings for the body but Burkhart moves out of range.
