Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Savage!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown with a poor takedown
and Savage counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Brown thinking.
Good leg kick by Savage there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Savage misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Brown.
Savage misses with a jab, cross combination.
Savage shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Savage throws a right and a left that both miss.
Savage lands with a shot to the body.
Brown tries for a takedown but Savage circles away easily
and Savage counters with a nice uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brown gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Savage counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roy Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Savage fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brown sprawls well initially but Savage persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Savage wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brown keeps working.
Brown is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Savage's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Savage's back!
Savage turns into Brown and is now in his guard.
Brown has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Savage has passed into side control.

Savage is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brown knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Brown tries to buck Savage off but Savage is having none of it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Savage creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Brown is looking for a sweep.

Savage tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Savage has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Brown tries to buck Savage off but Savage is having none of it.
Savage tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Brown managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Savage.

Savage working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Savage throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Brown gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Brown is squirming around, avoiding Savage's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Brown is controlling an arm, preventing Savage from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Brown tries to lock up and control but Savage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Savage manages to capitalize on a mistake by Brown to take his back!
Brown tries to escape but Savage has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Savage has the hooks in. Brown is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Savage doesn't have the hooks in and Brown manages to turn into his guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Savage is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Brown is looking to advance position but Savage has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Brown working to try and regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Savage dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Savage just misses with a punch to the body.

Brown with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Savage to score with a decent uppercut.

Brown checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Brown moves out of range as Savage strikes.
Brown displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Savage throws out the jab.

Savage is trying for a kimura here. Brown looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Savage wins by kimura!
