Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Pak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alex Pak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Pendragon! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pendragon throws a low kick but Pak moves out of range easily. Alex Pak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pak doesn't manage to clinch there - Pendragon circles away.
Pak's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pendragon connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pak scrambles back to his feet. Pak tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Pak tries to clinch but fails miserably and Pendragon counters with a shoot takedown. Pak fights it but they end up in guard. Pendragon sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pak's guard. Pak is refusing to be controlled, as Pendragon sits in half guard. Pendragon trying to pass the guard but Pak defending well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pendragon works his way into full mount! Pak knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pendragon on the ground. Pendragon is standing up, even though he is in mount. Pak tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pendragon swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pak lands a big head kick that sends Pendragon tumbling to the mat! Pak takes a step backwards and waves Pendragon back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Mike Pendragon has been cut. Pendragon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pak wants to clinch and Pendragon counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pendragon cracks Pak with an elbow. That is naaassty. Pendragon working the body and head with strikes. Pendragon has an Americana. Pak didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Pendragon is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Pendragon hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mike Pendragon! After winning the bout, Mike Pendragon thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
