Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ernest Doyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Governor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doyle's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Deep Purple - Perfect Strangers. The crowd seem to be enjoying Governor's choice of entrance music: Didgeridoo. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doyle feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Governor's calf.
A solid leg kick lands there for Governor.
Jab by Governor.
Doyle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Doyle fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Governor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Governor's jab looks to have found its range, popping Doyle under the eye.
Governor lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

and Doyle counters with a three punch combo that has Governor backing up. Governor nods at Doyle to acknowledge the strikes.
Governor manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Doyle on his heels. He'll look to pass Doyle's guard now, I'm sure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jimmy Governor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A relieved looking Jimmy Governor thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
