The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Rodriguez does no damage.
Rodriguez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Panzram.
Rodriguez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Panzram moves away.
Rodriguez lands a jab.
Rodriguez looks to land a right hand but Panzram moved out of range.
Panzram throws the left hand but Rodriguez avoids the punch easily.
Panzram fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rodriguez.
Panzram throws a low kick, looking for Rodriguez's leg but Rodriguez calmly moves out of range.
Rodriguez swings widly with a right hand
and Panzram counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Panzram uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rodriguez.
Rodriguez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Panzram is doing well to control the position and prevent Rodriguez from advancing to side control.

Rodriguez is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Panzram gets his way!

Panzram is cranking Rodriguez's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Rodriguez! He's tightened the choke and Rodriguez is tapping out!
