The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Alexandrov.

Norris tries to sprawl but Alexandrov drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Norris tries to roll over but Alexandrov keeps him under control.
Norris is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Alexandrov thows a huge punch but Norris dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Norris is looking to get back to full guard here but Alexandrov has managed to pass to side control instead.
Norris is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Still in half guard, Alexandrov seems content to control.
Norris wants to control but Alexandrov is keeping busy.
Alexandrov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alexandrov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Alexandrov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alexandrov connects with a nice short shot to Norris's temple.

Alexandrov is looking to take a break and control but Norris is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Norris takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Norris is working to avoid the ground and pound but Alexandrov connects with a decent elbow.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Alexandrov working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Norris is rocked!
Norris is letting Alexandrov control him for a moment.
Norris is still in real trouble! Can Alexandrov finish him?
Alexandrov lands a strong strike to the head of Norris. That's dazed him! Alexandrov looking to finish here. Norris is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Alexandrov lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
