Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fred Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fred Matthews!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eric Cartman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartman misses with the combination.
Cartman throws a poor cross that misses
and Matthews counters with a nice body shot.
Cartman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cartman throws a hook but Matthews blocks it.
Matthews defending well as Cartman loads up on a big left hand.
Matthews misses with a head kick.
Matthews shoots in but no luck this time.
Matthews tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Cartman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cartman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cartman tries for a takedown but Matthews sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cartman shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Matthews eats them both and turns towards Cartman to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Matthews is defended easily by Cartman.

Matthews closes the distance and clinches up with Cartman, looking for a takedown. Matthews pushes Cartman against the cage but Cartman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cartman is defended easily by Matthews.
Cartman misses with a series of wild punches.

Matthews feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cartman is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Matthews is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cartman sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Fred Matthews will probably get the nod.

Matthews does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Cartman is trying to force a seperation but Matthews has the dominant position.

Matthews is trying to pull guard but Cartman has him pressed against the cage.
Matthews stops a takedown attempt from Cartman.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Eric Cartman.
