Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robert Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roy Brown! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away. Johnson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Brown looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range. Brown ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away. Johnson shoots for a takedown but Brown saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Brown connects with a good right hand that stumbles Johnson. Johnson circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Nice body punch from Brown. Johnson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brown avoids it really well and circles away. Brown scores with a decent looking hook. Johnson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Brown connects with a body shot that sends Johnson's belly button to the back. Brown misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Johnson.
Johnson slips a jab from Brown. A telegraphed right hand from Brown misses the target. Brown's corner calls for a 1-2. Brown obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Johnson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brown. A leg kick checked by Brown. Johnson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. The fighters circling - Brown throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Johnson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown looks to throw the jab but Johnson is out of range. Brown thows a body shot but no joy. Johnson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Brown lands a really nice looking cross but Johnson seems unphased.
Brown gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johnson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson postures up in Brown's guard and throws a big left but Brown blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson tries to free his leg and advance position but Brown is retaining full guard. Johnson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Johnson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Brown preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Johnson pushing down on Brown's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Brown keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brown can do anything to dispel that myth. Brown looks gassed! Well, if Johnson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brown doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Johnson. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brown uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Brown lands with a right hand. Brown swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Brown is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Johnson. Brown misses with an uppercut. Johnson saw that one coming. Robert Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Brown lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Brown connects with a body shot that sends Johnson's belly button to the back. Brown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Brown is trying to break free. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Johnson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Brown is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Brown down to the mat. Brown avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Brown with a nice cross. Brown misses with a body shot.
Brown throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Johnson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Johnson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brown defends it nicely. Roy Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck for Johnson with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson ducks under a wild hook from Brown. Brown clobbers Johnson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Brown looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range. Brown sizes up Johnson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Brown misses with an uppercut. Johnson saw that one coming. Brown digs a good body shot into Johnson's ribs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown throws a jab when Johnson was well out of range. Johnson takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jab by Brown. Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Johnson content to control rather than advance. Brown wants to get back to full guard. Brown is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson throwing shots but Brown is blocking nicely. Johnson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Brown tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Johnson!
