Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Lew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Don Henderson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Lew! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Don Henderson! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lew misses with a double jab.
Lew lands a glancing blow to the side of Henderson's head. Lew drops Henderson with a right and a left! Lew comes rushing in but Henderson regains his composure and manages to keep Lew in guard.
Henderson is rocked!
It looks like Don Henderson has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Henderson keeping moving, preventing Lew from controlling successfully. Henderson is still in real trouble! Can Lew finish him? Lew is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Henderson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Henderson seems to have recovered his senses. Henderson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lew postures up in Henderson's guard and throws a big left but Henderson blocks it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alex Lew. No luck for Henderson with that takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson has a takedown stuffed. Lew goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Henderson fails to land the takedown. Alex Lew has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Henderson. Lew throws a right and a left that Henderson avoids nicely. Lew tries to bum rush Henderson with a series of wild strikes but Henderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lew misses with a double jab.
Lew gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Henderson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Lew is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Henderson defends well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Henderson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Lew escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Henderson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Lew has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Henderson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lew is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Henderson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Don Henderson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Lew throws a right hand that Henderson ducks under and follows up with a left that Henderson also avoids with ease. Henderson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Henderson slows the pace down in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lew is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Henderson pulls his head out easily. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Still in half guard, Henderson seems content to control. Lew tries to get to full guard but Henderson has control of the leg. Henderson controlling the action here.
Don Henderson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Henderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lew's guard. Henderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lew has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Henderson has managed to get both his arms back between Lew's legs - danger averted. Lew looking for a guillotine here but Henderson defends easily.

It looks like Henderson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Henderson preventing the sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lew in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Henderson looking to control and managing it successfully. Let's hope that Henderson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
