Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anton Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anhel Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anhel Batista! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bishop misses with a takedown attempt and Batista counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Batista pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bishop is keeping the position for now. Bishop has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Batista can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Batista drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bishop looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bishop looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bishop! Batista is looking for a sweep. Bishop trying to control the action but Batista is working from the bottom. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Batista wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Anhel Batista showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Batista rushes Bishop and presses him up against the cage. Bishop is trying to push Batista away but Batista has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Batista is trying to trip Bishop. He has hold of a leg but Bishop is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Batista persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Batista wants to pass the guard but Bishop is keeping the position. Batista seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bishop keeping full guard, as Batista tries to pass. OK we're going to have a standup here. Anhel Batista hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Batista drives through and clinches with Bishop against the cage.

Anton Bishop has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Anhel Batista is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Batista is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Anhel Batista comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Batista has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
