Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Koby Stott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wirm Kness!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kness tries to move into range but Stott moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kness looks to score with a jab to the body but Stott is just out of range.
Kness tests Stott's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Stott gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Stott has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Stott works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Stott wants to stand but Kness is controlling his posture from full guard.
Kness looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Kness is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stott is aware though and is defending well.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kness is on top in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kness stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stott swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stott is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Stott has a closed guard, preventing Kness from standing up.
Stott wants to get back to his feet but Kness is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Stott.

Stott wants to take a breather but Kness manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Stott.
Stott has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kness wants to sweep here but Stott controlling him for the moment.

Kness turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kness manages to end up in side control.
Kness tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Stott bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Kness misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Stott really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Stott fails to land with a series of punches.
Kness avoids the head kick by Stott.
Koby Stott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Some wild striking there from Stott.
Stott lands a glancing blow to the side of Kness's head.
Kness shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stott as he jumps to the side.
Kness misses with a jab, cross combination.
Stott throws a nice looking combination but Kness bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stott scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Stott is breathing heavily.
Stott wants to clinch up but Kness keeps it at a distance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kness misses with a straight left.
Kness slips a jab and a cross from Stott.
Stott tries to clinch but Kness moves out of range.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Koby Stott dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kness avoids the head kick by Stott.
Stott misses with a few strikes there.
Kness shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stott but Stott pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Stott throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice takedown defense from Stott. No joy for Kness on that attempt.
Kness misses with a takedown attempt - Stott sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Koby Stott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wirm Kness.
Kness shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stott sprawls well. Stott wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kness gets slowly back to his feet.

Stott drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kness is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Stott off and has taken his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stott has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Kness is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Koby Stott overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kness scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Stott is looking for a way out.

Kness is persistently looking for the submission but Stott is defending it well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stott wants to control his opponent's hands but Kness gets his hands free.
Kness slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Kness working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Stott is doing well to defend. Kness seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Stott is forced to tap and this one is over!
