Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris JorJovsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lorenzo Von Matterhorn! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Von Matterhorn throws a nice inside leg kick. JorJovsky shoots in looking for a takedown. Von Matterhorn tries to sprawl out of it but JorJovsky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Von Matterhorn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lorenzo Von Matterhorn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Von Matterhorn tries a head kick but it misses.
JorJovsky has a takedown stuffed. Von Matterhorn throws a head kick but JorJovsky moves out of range.
Von Matterhorn lands with a slapping head kick. Von Matterhorn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Von Matterhorn throws a head kick but JorJovsky moves out of range.

Von Matterhorn throws a head kick that JorJovsky semi-blocks.
JorJovsky changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Von Matterhorn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. JorJovsky lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's one minute gone in the round. JorJovsky wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Von Matterhorn, who protects the arm well. JorJovsky tries to advance to mount but can't. JorJovsky working the head with strikes. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Von Matterhorn can do anything to dispel that myth. JorJovsky working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. JorJovsky misses with an attempted head punch from side control. JorJovsky tries to score with some ground and pound. Von Matterhorn controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. JorJovsky sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Von Matterhorn is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
JorJovsky will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. JorJovsky is staying tight to Von Matterhorn's torso, preventing him from escaping. JorJovsky misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Von Matterhorn is looking to reverse the position. JorJovsky is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Von Matterhorn is trying to escape and JorJovsky transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Von Matterhorn is forced to tap! Nice work there by JorJovsky! Very nice indeed!
