Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Little John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, its a fight. Tyler comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tomoyasu Hotei: Battle Without Honor or Humanity kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Little John has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Little John!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rex Tyler!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tyler manages to avoid it.
Tyler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? John is fending him off so far but Tyler persists. Nope, John circles away and we're back to standing.
John gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tyler to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Tyler throws an elbow that misses. John uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tyler's guard. Nice move by John!
Tyler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Tyler closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into John's guard.
Tyler distracts John with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Tyler passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Tyler misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
The ground and pound from Tyler seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on John's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Tyler grinds an elbow into John's temple.
It looks like Little John has been cut.
Tyler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
An elbow from Tyler crashes against the mat.
Tyler lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear John down.
Tyler is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. John knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

John is trying to control Tyler's posture but Tyler avoids it.

Tyler swings around for an armbar but John sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tyler's guard.
Tyler wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Tyler can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as John controls the pace.

Little John has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Tyler darts in and clinches John up against the cage.
John misses with a short punch on the inside.

John throws a punch but it's blocked by Tyler.
Tyler wants the takedown. John is fighting it off but Tyler persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in John's guard against the cage.
Tyler is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! John is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! John has escaped and now he's on top!
John is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tyler pulls John in close to his closed guard and prevents John from doing any damage or advancing position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
John thows a body shot but no joy.
Tyler shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. John defends it nicely.
Tyler lands a nice leg kick that just misses John's sensitive parts.
John takes a swing at Tyler's ribcage but misses.
Tyler shoots in but no luck this time.
Tyler darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Tyler is working for a submission of some sort.

John is looking to control Tyler's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can John avoid being mounted?
Tyler throws a strike but John avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Tyler postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! John is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tyler, into his guard.
Tyler seems keen to control John's posture.

John wants to pass the guard but Tyler is keeping the position.
Tyler is looking to sweep but instead, John has passed into half guard.
Tyler works his way to full guard. Good work.

Tyler has John pulled in close to control his posture.
Tyler's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
John missing with a left hand there. Tyler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Tyler takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Tyler feints and as John raises his hands in defense, Tyler changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Tyler drops back, looking for a kneebar! John looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. John looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from John!
Tyler is trying to improve his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rex Tyler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! John's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
John misses with a low kick as Tyler jumps back.
Tyler shoots in looking for a takedown but John manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tyler's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tyler fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
John missing with a left hand there. Tyler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Tyler takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
John connects with a body shot.

Little John has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rex Tyler.
