Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Langdon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark MacLeod! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacLeod lands a nice looking body kick. MacLeod's jab looks to have found its range, popping Langdon under the eye.
It looks like Robert Langdon has been cut. Langdon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. MacLeod tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Langdon is in MacLeod's guard. MacLeod wants to sweep but no luck. MacLeod looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Langdon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Langdon tries to free his leg and advance position but MacLeod is retaining full guard. MacLeod keeping moving, preventing Langdon from controlling successfully. MacLeod keeping full guard, as Langdon tries to pass. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We're going to have a standup here because Robert Langdon wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Langdon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. MacLeod tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Langdon is in MacLeod's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Langdon drops back looking for a leg! MacLeod is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and MacLeod manages to kick Langdon off! Langdon jumps back into MacLeod's guard. Langdon slips nicely into half guard. Langdon lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Langdon is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and MacLeod defends it well. Langdon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Langdon throwing shots but MacLeod is blocking nicely. Langdon is pressing down on MacLeod's thigh, looking to free his foot. MacLeod is holding on for now. MacLeod moves into full guard.
MacLeod wants to stand but Langdon is controlling the position. MacLeod is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Langdon defends well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Langdon trying to control the position from guard on top but MacLeod is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Langdon tries to free his leg and advance position but MacLeod is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. MacLeod wants to stand up but Langdon is controlling him. Langdon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. MacLeod has his foot on Langdon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Langdon works his way back into a safe position though. Langdon passes MacLeod's left leg - he's now in half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
MacLeod is trying to get back to full guard. Langdon works his way into full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Langdon looking to control and managing it successfully. Langdon punishing his opponent with strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Langdon moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, MacLeod has worked his arm free - good work by MacLeod!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. MacLeod is trying to control Langdon's posture but Langdon avoids it. MacLeod is working to avoid the ground and pound but Langdon connects with a decent elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robert Langdon dominated that round. The cut man is working on Robert Langdon's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Langdon dodges the punch combination from MacLeod.
Langdon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. MacLeod defends it nicely. MacLeod defending well as Langdon loads up on a big left hand. Langdon blocks a low kick nicely. MacLeod checks the leg kick nicely there.
MacLeod's jab looks to have found its range, popping Langdon under the eye. Langdon shoots in looking for a takedown but MacLeod manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Langdon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Langdon misses with a straight left. Langdon shoots in looking for a takedown. MacLeod tries to sprawl out of it but Langdon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. MacLeod manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Langdon. That's going to take a lot out of him. MacLeod drops Langdon with a beautiful combination! Langdon stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - MacLeod is looking for the KO!
Langdon is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Langdon. Oh Langdon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Langdon shoots in but MacLeod avoids the takedown attempt easily. MacLeod fakes the body blow, causing Langdon to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Langdon goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mark MacLeod!
