The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corey Jr throws a right and a left that both miss.
Corey Jr defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McCool.
Corey Jr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Corey Jr moves away from the strike by McCool.
McCool feints and as Corey Jr raises his hands in defense, McCool changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
McCool tries to free his leg and advance position but Corey Jr is retaining full guard.
McCool trying to control the position from guard on top but Corey Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McCool looking to pass the guard.
McCool advances position into side control!
Corey Jr wants to get back to his feet but McCool drags him back down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Corey Jr prevents McCool from moving into mount.

McCool tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McCool has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
McCool is trying to get an arm triangle but Corey Jr is defending well.
McCool working the strikes but Corey Jr uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

McCool is pressing down on Corey Jr's thigh, looking to free his foot. Corey Jr is holding on for now.

McCool is looking to take a break and control but Corey Jr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

McCool seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Corey Jr does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

McCool thows a huge punch but Corey Jr dodges it nicely.

Corey Jr is looking to stand up but McCool isn't so interested in that idea.
McCool content to stall in guard here.
McCool throwing strikes from guard but Corey Jr blocks nicely.
McCool loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Corey Jr wants to stand and escape but McCool is having none of it.
McCool looking to sit in guard and control but Corey Jr gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

McCool is trying to keep Corey Jr in close.
Corey Jr has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing McCool to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Corey Jr is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - McCool pulls down on the head and he's put Corey Jr to sleep! This one is all over!
