The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdullah misses with a hook. Kowolowka ducked under it nicely.
Abdullah blocks a jab.
Kowolowka throws out a powerful jab.
Abdullah walks into a straight right hand from Kowolowka.
Kowolowka misses with an uppercut.
Abdullah stuns Kowolowka with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Donk. Kowolowka catches Abdullah right on the button with a cross.
Abdullah throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Abdullah lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kowolowka circles away quickly and effectively.

and Kowolowka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Abdullah throws a right and a left that both miss.
Abdullah lands a right hook to the body.
Kowolowka is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kowolowka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kowolowka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Kowolowka connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Abdullah throws a big shot that misses.
Abdullah tries to close the distance and clinch but Kowolowka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Abdullah will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Abdullah takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Abdullah Abdullah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kowolowka goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Abdullah really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kowolowka might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
