Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sho Kazuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dixon Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sho Kazuki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dixon Cox! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cox takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Cox fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kazuki sprawls well initially but Cox persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Cox is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kazuki works his way to full guard. Good work. Kazuki lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cox! Cox is trying to escape the mount.
Kazuki trying to control but Cox is having none of it. Cox tries to reverse the position but Kazuki maintains control. Kazuki is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Cox has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Kazuki is working for a guillotine from mount but Cox frees his head quite easily.
Cox manages to regain half guard. Good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cox tries to get to full guard but Kazuki has control of the leg. Cox looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Cox slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kazuki trying to control the position from guard on top but Cox is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kazuki looking to pass the guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kazuki wants to control from the top but Cox keeps moving. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cox has his foot on Kazuki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kazuki works his way back into a safe position though. Cox has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kazuki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cox looks gassed! Cox looking for a guillotine here but Kazuki defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kazuki drops back looking for a leg! Cox is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cox manages to kick Kazuki off! Kazuki jumps back into Cox's guard. Kazuki wants to pass the guard but Cox is keeping the position. Kazuki slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Cox is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Kazuki is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cox knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kazuki tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cox manages to get back to half guard. Kazuki is trying to control the action in half guard but Cox is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Cox is trying to get back to full guard. Cox is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Kazuki jumps into side control! Cox manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kazuki trying to control the action but Cox is working from the bottom. Kazuki wants to stand but Cox has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Kazuki wants to work for an arm triangle but Cox is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cox shoots in and bounces Kazuki off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Cox tries to free his leg and advance position but Kazuki is retaining full guard. Cox advances to half guard. Cox is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Kazuki has managed to free his arm - good work. Cox seems to be working for a kimura but Kazuki defends the submission attempt. Cox looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cox is thwarting Kazuki's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dixon Cox dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kazuki bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cox's head backwards. Kazuki jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cox is rocked! Cox will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cox is still on wobbly legs! Can Kazuki finish him? Are you kidding me?! Kazuki ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Cox clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sho Kazuki!
