Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Pemberton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johannes Vaulen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vaulen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I Love Norwegian Country kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ethan Pemberton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johannes Vaulen! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vaulen takes the fight into the clinch. Vaulen avoiding damage as Pemberton throws knees to the body.
Pemberton tries to pull guard but Vaulen won't allow it.
Pemberton tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Pemberton. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Vaulen. Vaulen has picked Pemberton up - he's going for a ride! Vaulen dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Pemberton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vaulen is working away from the top position though. Vaulen is working for a submission of some sort.
Vaulen looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Pemberton wants to control but Vaulen is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pemberton manages to get to full guard.
Vaulen preventing the sweep. Pemberton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vaulen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Pemberton keeping moving, preventing Vaulen from controlling successfully. Pemberton trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Vaulen wants to pass the guard but Pemberton is keeping the position. Pemberton not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Vaulen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pemberton lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vaulen! Pemberton is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Vaulen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Vaulen is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vaulen wants to control but Pemberton is having none of it. A nice elbow there by Pemberton.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pemberton putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Vaulen bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Pemberton is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Pemberton is trying to keep Vaulen in close.
Vaulen scoring with punches to the head and body. Pemberton is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Pemberton is breathing heavily. Pemberton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vaulen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vaulen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Vaulen passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pemberton is refusing to be controlled, as Vaulen sits in half guard. Vaulen is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Vaulen is pressing down on Pemberton's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pemberton is holding on for now. Vaulen prevents Pemberton from improving his position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vaulen connects with a nice short shot to Pemberton's temple. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vaulen lands a nice short elbow. Vaulen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pemberton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Vaulen lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Vaulen lands strikes from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Johannes Vaulen will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Vaulen moves into the clinch successfully.
Vaulen is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Vaulen gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pemberton.
Vaulen works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Vaulen with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Vaulen scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Vaulen is posturing up here but Pemberton has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Vaulen tries to roll out but it's too tight and Vaulen has to tap! Slick submission there by Pemberton!
