The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downes jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Downes rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Grygiel counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Downes!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Grygiel jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Downes manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Downes wants to control but Grygiel postures up.
Downes is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Downes tries to improve position but can't.
Downes struggling a bit here.
Grygiel tries for a kimura but Downes is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grygiel looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
You can see the frustration on Downes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Grygiel is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Downes is trying to escape and Grygiel transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Downes is forced to tap! Nice work there by Grygiel! Very nice indeed!
