Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anthony Cross!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gunn circles away.
Gunn tries to clinch there but Cross circles away.
Cross avoids the body shot from Gunn.
Cross slaps away a takedown attempt from Gunn, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gunn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gunn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cross avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Gunn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cross throws a hook to the side of Gunn's head but Gunn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gunn fails to land the takedown.

Cross clinches with his opponent.
Gunn is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Gunn wants a takedown.

Gunn breaks the clinch.
Gunn tries to score with a low kick but Cross moves his leg out of the way.
Gunn takes a swing at Cross's ribcage but misses.
Gunn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cross.

Cross throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gunn tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cross is in Gunn's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Gunn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cross looking to sit in guard and control but Gunn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Cross wants to improve his position but instead Gunn has moved into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cross is trying to stand back up but Gunn is controlling him

Cross pushes Gunn off looking to stand but Gunn dives back in and keeps control.

Gunn sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cross defending well though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cross can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gunn throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Gunn prevents Cross from standing back up.
Cross tries to kick Gunn off in order to stand up. Gunn Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Cross looks gassed!
Gunn wants to control but Cross is keeping him busy.
Cross is looking for a sweep.
Gunn trying to control the position but Cross is working away.

The strikes coming from Gunn are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Cross being controlled for a moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tommy Gunn wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Cross fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Anthony Cross will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Cross dives in and grabs Gunn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gunn pushes down on Cross's head and hops out.
Cross doesn't manage to clinch there - Gunn circles away.
Gunn fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gunn throws a head kick that half lands.
Gunn tries to clinch up.
Cross pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gunn back to the cage. Cross follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Cross wants to clinch up but Gunn keeps it at a distance.
Cross jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cross fails with a takedown attempt.
Cross looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tommy Gunn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Cross.
Cross is breathing heavily.
Cross swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gunn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cross but Cross pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cross throws a combination that misses

and Gunn counters with a head kick that drops Cross to the mat! Cross scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!


Cross is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cross gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tommy Gunn!
