Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ansatsuken Ryu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Irons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ansatsuken Ryu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Irons! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryu misses with a head kick.
Ryu fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Irons has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Irons blocks a head kick by Ryu.
Ansatsuken Ryu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ryu lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Ryu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Irons is fending him off so far but Ryu persists. Nope, Irons circles away and we're back to standing. Ryu connects with a solid leg kick. Ryu slips a jab and a cross from Irons.
Ryu avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ryu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ryu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Irons. Irons circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Ryu fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Irons has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Ryu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Irons. A punch combination from Irons misses. Good leg kick by Ryu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ryu fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Irons throws a right hand that Ryu ducks under and follows up with a left that Ryu also avoids with ease. Ryu scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ryu throws a solid leg kick but Irons takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ryu. Irons tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Ryu scores with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Irons throws a looping overhand right but Ryu ducks down to avoid it. Ryu takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ryu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ryu lands with a thumping leg kick.
Irons misses with an uppercut. Ryu saw that one coming. Ryu fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. A chopping leg kick lands by Ryu. Irons throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ryu wants to slow Irons down by chopping away at his legs. Ryu takes one on the button. Ryu feints and then cracks Irons's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Irons down. Ryu throws a head kick that misses. Irons on the wrong end of a nice jab. Ryu shoots in for a takedown but Irons shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice body kick from Ryu. Ryu feints and then cracks Irons's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Irons down. Irons drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Irons looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bobby Irons is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A decent looking cross lands there for Irons. Ryu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Irons connects with a right hand. Ryu shakes it off. Irons uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ryu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Irons throws a series of punches but Ryu moves out of range. Nice jab there from Ryu. Ryu looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Irons! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Ryu jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Irons manages to avoid the submission attempt. Ryu goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Irons has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ryu but great work by Irons. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Irons wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ryu, who protects the arm well. Irons is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ryu knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ansatsuken Ryu dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Irons takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

That must be slowing him down. Irons on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Ryu connects with an inside leg kick. Ryu scores with a leg kick.

Ryu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ryu connects with an inside leg kick. Ryu moves into range and connects with a jab. Irons scores with a jab to the jaw. Ryu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ryu lands with a kick to the ribs.
Ryu lands a glancing blow to the side of Irons's head. A nice inside leg kick there by Ryu. That's going to slow Irons down. A head kick misses from Ryu. Irons tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Irons is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Irons catches Ryu with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Ryu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Irons pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ryu back to the cage. Irons follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Ryu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ryu slips a jab and a cross from Irons.
Ryu lands a head kick. Irons smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Ryu connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Irons's hands. Irons rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ryu moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ryu shoots in looking for a takedown. Irons tries to sprawl out of it but Ryu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Irons manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ansatsuken Ryu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ryu lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryu misses with a wild body shot. Ryu connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ryu does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. A solid body kick from Ryu. Ryu tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Irons swivels and escapes. Ryu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Irons throws a series of punches but Ryu avoids them all with ease. Irons avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ansatsuken Ryu will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Ryu feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Irons's calf. Irons throws a hook to the side of Ryu's head but Ryu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ryu scoring well with a low kick there.
Irons displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ryu throws out the jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ryu scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Irons stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ryu. Ryu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Nice defenses there by Ryu. Irons displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ryu. Ryu connects with a body shot that sends Irons's belly button to the back. Ryu misses with a lunging right hand

Ryu attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. The fighters circle momentarily. Irons darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Ryu throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Irons's head. A decent looking cross lands there for Irons. Ryu looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Ryu throws a head kick that half lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Irons throws a right and a left that Ryu avoids nicely. Irons takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Irons leaves Ryu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Irons misses with a wild combination.

And that's the end of the fight! Ansatsuken Ryu showed his dominance in that final round. Well Ryu has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
