Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pj Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silvester Szymanski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benn comes into the arena with Darude- Sandstorm blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szymanski misses with a few strikes there.
Nice defenses there by Benn.
Benn looks for a takedown but Szymanski sprawls well.
Szymanski misses with a leg kick
and Benn counters with a nice uppercut.
Szymanski walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Benn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Szymanski connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Pj Benn has been cut.
Benn walks into a stiff left hand from Szymanski.

Benn stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Szymanski has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Benn finds it's way round the side to connect with Szymanski's head.

Benn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Szymanski was well out of range. Poor timing from Benn.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Szymanski tries to clinch there but Benn circles away.
Szymanski throws a big shot that misses.
Szymanski slips a jab from Benn.
Benn with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Szymanski to score with a decent uppercut.
Szymanski drives through and clinches with Benn against the cage.
Benn wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Benn tries to circle away but Szymanski has him pinned against the cage.

Benn is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Szymanski to keep the fight standing.

Szymanski's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Benn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Szymanski is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Benn.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Szymanski stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Szymanski tries a low kick but Benn avoids it.
