Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Murilo Dos Alva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen Dufflebag Boy as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Dos Alva does no damage.
Dos Alva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dos Alva ducks right into an uppercut from Gracie.
Dos Alva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gracie misses with a few strikes there.

Dos Alva tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gracie smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Gracie lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gracie.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dos Alva in particular looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dos Alva moves nicely into side control.
Dos Alva creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Gracie sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dos Alva tries for a kimura but Gracie is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Gracie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dos Alva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dos Alva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Dos Alva uses his free foot to push down on Gracie's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gracie.
Gracie tries to hold on but Dos Alva pushes him away.

Dos Alva lands a big shot there that rocks Gracie but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Dos Alva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
