The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da La Rosa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Simpson as he jumps to the side.
Simpson throws a sloppy head kick and Da La Rosa moves out of range easily.

Da La Rosa wants to control from the top but Simpson keeps moving.
Simpson wants to stand and escape but Da La Rosa is having none of it.

Da La Rosa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Da La Rosa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Da La Rosa takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A nice leg kick lands there from Simpson.
Da La Rosa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Simpson throws a head kick that Da La Rosa semi-blocks.

Da La Rosa drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Da La Rosa as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Simpson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Da La Rosa! Nice submission victory there!
