Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chew Bacca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshida Kotaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bacca comes into the arena with 3rd world! blaring out of the sound system. Kotaro is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dance Yourself Clean. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bacca throws a right hand that misses
and Kotaro counters with a straight right hand.
A punch combination from Bacca misses.
Kotaro thumps Bacca with a low kick.
Kotaro shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bacca but Bacca pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kotaro moves in looking to clinch but Bacca pushes him off.
Kotaro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bacca tries to avoid it but Kotaro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bacca to the ground. Bacca escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chew Bacca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bacca lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kotaro circles away quickly and effectively.
Bacca throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kotaro stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kotaro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kotaro has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bacca uses from the top position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Kotaro. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kotaro jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bacca walks away with a smile on his face. Kotaro gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Yoshida Kotaro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bacca crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kotaro - the referee stops the clock and Bacca gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kotaro. Bacca manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Yoshida Kotaro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kotaro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
