Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Burton! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rogers pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Burton slips a jab and a cross from Rogers.
Rogers misses with a two punch combination.
Rogers fails with the takedown. Burton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rogers as he avoids it easily. Jack Burton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rogers with a poor takedown and Burton counters with a good low kick that Rogers was not able to check. The fight stays on the outside here - Burton looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rogers looks for a takedown but Burton sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Rogers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rogers gets caught flat footed, as Burton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Rogers is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burton drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rogers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rogers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rogers! Burton manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rogers's best efforts. Burton is looking for a sweep. Rogers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rogers tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Burton. Rogers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burton on the ground. Burton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rogers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rogers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burton wants to sweep but no luck. Burton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rogers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Burton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rogers decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Burton, up you get! Burton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Burton in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rogers trying to keep a closed guard but Burton is proving a slippery customer.
Rogers is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burton keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rogers's head. Burton seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Rogers lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Burton! Rogers trying to control but he's not successful this time. Burton is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Burton wants to control but Rogers is having none of it. Burton really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Burton is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Burton manages to regain half guard. Good work. Burton is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Rogers pulls his head out easily. Burton wants to control but Rogers is keeping busy and won't allow it. Burton tries to roll over but Rogers keeps him under control. Burton trying to control here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Burton dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rogers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burton tries to avoid it but Rogers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burton to the ground. Burton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Burton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Burton looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Burton prevents Rogers from standing back up.
Burton throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Burton uses his free foot to push down on Rogers's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rogers. Burton lands a big shot there that rocks Rogers but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers is squirming around, avoiding Burton's attempts to control the action. Burton is breathing heavily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Burton working for a submission but Rogers is keeping him at bay. Burton fails to advance to Rogers's back. Rogers is looking to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Burton pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rogers is wriggling around trying to escape.
Burton fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Burton lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rogers hang on? Burton in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Burton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Burton punishing his opponent with strikes. Rogers has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Burton is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Burton lands an elbow to the side of the head. Rogers holding both Burton 's hands and preventing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burton scores with punches and elbows. Rogers is trying to defend against the choke here but Burton has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Burton Tightens the hold and Rogers taps out furiously! Burton displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jack Burton!
