Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stann Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by .... Stone comes into a darkened arena with his song building. BLUNT- kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stann Stone! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Stone forces Jones back against the cage and clinches. Jones managing to block the knees to the body from Stone.
Stone tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jones avoids it. Jones misses with a short punch on the inside. Jones dodges an elbow strike from Stone.
Stone with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Jones is trying to stall.
Stone gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jones.
Stone throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jones blocks it with crossed arms. Jones lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Stone. Jones is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Stone is defending well. Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Stone fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stone fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone lands a nice looking kick to the body. Jones takes a step back to recover. Stone misses with a right hand and Jones counters with a lovely shot to the body. A telegraphed right hand from Jones misses the target. Stone throws out a leg kick but Jones moves out of range and Stone only half commits. James Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stone looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Jones looks for a takedown but Stone sprawls well. Jones scores with a hook to the body. Stone takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stone sprawls well. Stone wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Jones gets tackled into the cage by Stone. Stone maintains the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stone blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Stone tries to land knees in the clinch but Jones avoids the damage to the body. Jones is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice left hand lands by Jones.
Jones misses with the head strike.
Jones misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Jones is pushing Stone up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Stone pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Stone tries to score a body lock takedown but Jones shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Jones fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Jones goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Stone blocks an uppercut.
Jones avoids the elbow strike from Stone, against the cage.
Jones tries to throw a body punch but Stone avoids it by throwing Jones back against the cage. Stone with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Both fighters working to control the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones effectively controlling the action here. Jones takes an elbow to the temple. Jones tries to work over Stone's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Stone throws an elbow but it misses.
Stone creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Jones has a couple of punches blocked by Stone.
Stone landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Jones leaning his opponent against the cage. Stone is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jones is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Stone to the mat. Stone regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Stone is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones throws a big right hand that misses. Jones slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Stone controlling Jones's posture. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Jones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Stone pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Stann Stone was stalling too much, according to the referee. Jones dips to his left and cracks Stone with an uppercut! Stone ducks under a wild hook from Jones. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Jones dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Jones misses with a shot to the body and Stone counters with a flying knee. Nice. Stone takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jones digs a good hook to Stone's body.
Stone throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it. Jones connects with a right hand. Stone shakes it off. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones lunges at Stone with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Stone's hand. Jones misses with a wild body shot. Stone misses with a body kick. Stone throws a chopping leg kick but Jones manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stone tries to work over Jones's front leg with a kick but Jones checks it. Jones connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stone's hands. Stone drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stone is breathing heavily. Stone trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jones is adopting a defensive guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Stone preventing the sweep. Stone working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Stone stands and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control. Stone throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Stone trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying to buck Stone off. Jones is not content to let Stone control the position. Stone creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jones sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Stone misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jones is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is not content to let Stone control the position. Stone is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Jones manages to get back to half guard. Jones is looking to control Stone's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jones avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to improve his position but Stone is controlling well.
Jones slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Stone wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stone stops Jones from standing up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard. Stone working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that James Jones will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones checks a leg kick nicely. James Jones is winning the standup battle so far. Jones throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Stone scores with a head kick. Jones tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Stone on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jones misses with a hook. Jones is looking to wear down Stone with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stone as he avoids it easily. Jones misses the jab. Jones throws a big shot that misses. The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A slapping leg kick lands for Stone.
Stone clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stone lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Jones avoiding damage.
Jones doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone blocks a body shot from Jones. Jones gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Jones wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving. Jones postures up.
Stone tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones with a flurry of punches that miss. Jones trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom. Stone has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jones has passed into side control.
Jones lands some shots froms side control. Stann Stone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones taking a breather here. Stone is looking for a sweep. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Stone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stone trying his best to control but Jones has mounted him. Jones scoring with strikes but Stone is staying in there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stone keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to control but Stone is having none of it. BOOM! Jones connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Stone regains half guard. Stone is not content to let Jones control the position. Stone is looking to improve his position.
James Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jones controlling the action here. Stone moves into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Stone being controlled here, momentarily. Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Stone gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. James Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Stone trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Jones manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
And that's the end of the fight! James Jones showed his dominance in that final round. Well Jones has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
