Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Solrac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Solrac! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Smith! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Solrac. Solrac pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The fighters circle momentarily. Solrac darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Solrac throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Solrac stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet. Smith gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Solrac.
That's one minute gone in the round. Solrac swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Solrac gets the takedown into side control. Solrac working the ground and pound but Smith is defending the strikes. An elbow from Solrac crashes against the mat.
Solrac looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Solrac throws an elbow but Smith slips to the side and avoids it well. Solrac tries to move to mount but Smith blocks the move with his legs. Solrac throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith gets back to half guard. Solrac wants to get back to his feet.
Solrac trying to control the action but Smith is working from the bottom. Solrac is working for a submission of some sort.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Solrac feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Solrac is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Smith keeping moving, preventing Solrac from controlling successfully. Smith trying to keep a closed guard but Solrac is proving a slippery customer.
Solrac tries to free his leg and advance position but Smith is retaining full guard. Solrac with a flurry of punches that miss. Smith is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Solrac has his hands clasped together but Smith extends an breaks Solrac's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Smith.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Austin Smith!
