Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Kikkazz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raive Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kikkazz comes to the cage accompanied by Love The Way You Lie - Eminem. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Kikkazz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raive Malapitan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kikkazz throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Malapitan's head.


It looks like Raive Malapitan has been cut.
Kikkazz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Malapitan circles away.

Kikkazz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Malapitan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Malapitan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kikkazz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Malapitan wants to sweep but no luck.
Malapitan looking to control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kikkazz landing some decent shots from guard.
Kikkazz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kikkazz is looking to work some ground and pound but Malapitan has wrist control.

Malapitan looking for a guillotine here but Kikkazz defends easily.
Kikkazz connects with a couple of short punches.

Malapitan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Malapitan can do anything to dispel that myth.
Malapitan controls Kikkazz momentarily but Kikkazz frees himself.
Kikkazz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Malapitan is trying to control the position but Kikkazz postures up.

Kikkazz drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Malapitan dives on top into guard.

Kikkazz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kikkazz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Malapitan lands a couple of digs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Malapitan trying to control the position from guard on top but Kikkazz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kikkazz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Malapitan with a flurry of punches that miss.
Malapitan is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Kikkazz keeping moving, preventing Malapitan from controlling successfully.

Kikkazz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Malapitan defends it easily.
Kikkazz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Malapitan working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kikkazz's head.

Kikkazz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Malapitan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Malapitan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Malapitan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Kikkazz is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Malapitan frees his head nicely. Oh but Kikkazz has switched to an armbar! Malapitan is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
