Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Miguel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thiago Souza looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Miguel misses.
Souza shoots in for a takedown but Miguel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Miguel has closed the distance and engaged Souza in a clinch.
Miguel lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Miguel tries to pass to full mount but Souza defends it.
Miguel looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Miguel perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Souza is trying to stand up here but Miguel is controlling him well.

Souza is trying to escape back to his feet but Miguel uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Souza is working to avoid the ground and pound but Miguel connects with a decent elbow.
Miguel slows the pace down.

Miguel decides to stand back up. Miguel steps back and let's Souza get back to his feet.
Souza shoots in for a takedown but Miguel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Miguel closes the distance and pushes Souza back into the cage.
