The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kljajic shoots for a takedown but Machida saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Machida looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kljajic fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Machida avoids it really well and circles away.
Kljajic shoots for a double leg takedown but Machida sprawls well. He's pushed Kljajic's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Machida is squirming around, avoiding Kljajic's attempts to control the action.

The referee warns Machida that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Kljajic has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kljajic is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Machida to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Machida shrugs it off.

Kljajic is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Machida is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Machida flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Kljajic anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Machida and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Kljajic slips an arm under Machida chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Kljajic has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Kljajic is squeezing on Machida like an anaconda would it's prey. Machida fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
