The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daddy scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Doe is trying to control but can't.
Doe is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Daddy is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Daddy looking to sit in guard and control but Doe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Daddy working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Doe has passed into half guard!
Doe is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Doe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Daddy's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Daddy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Doe lands with a punch from half guard. Doe is trying to control. Daddy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Doe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Doe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Daddy looking for submissions off his back. Doe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Daddy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Doe is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Daddy has managed to free his arm - good work. Doe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Doe is looking for a kimura but Daddy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Doe to get the leverage.

Daddy is rocked! Doe is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Daddy goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Doe!
